How connect your Blogspot (Blogger) blog to a domain registered with Namecheap

 

  1. Set up your domain in Blogger:
    • Go to your Blogger dashboard.
                  


    • Navigate to Settings > Publishing > Custom domain.

    • Enter your domain name (e.g., www.yourdomain.com) and click Save.

    • Blogger will provide two CNAME records that you need to add to your domain’s DNS settings.

  1. Configure DNS settings in Namecheap:
    • Log in to your Namecheap account.

    • Go to the Domain List and click Manage next to your domain.

    • Select the Advanced DNS tab.

    • Add the following A Records:
      • @ pointing to 216.239.32.21
      • @ pointing to 216.239.34.21
      • @ pointing to 216.239.36.21
      • @ pointing to 216.239.38.21

o   Select ADD NEW RECORD

§  Type select A Record

§  Host type @

§  Value type ip address of Google

                                        Click Tick to Save


To connect your Blogspot (Blogger) blog to a domain registered with Namecheap, follow these steps

    • Add the CNAME Records provided by Blogger:
      • www pointing to ghs.google.com
      • The second CNAME provided by Blogger.

Select ADD NEW RECORD

§  Type select: CNAME Record

§  Host type: www

§  Value: ghs.google.com

Select ADD NEW RECORD

§  Type select: CNAME Record

§  Host type: uhqnneseicld (from blogger)

§  Value: gv-ity2tce3hzcfha.dv.googlehosted.com.


    • Click Tick to Save
         3- Save and verify:
    • Save the changes in Namecheap.
    • Go back to Blogger and click Save again to verify the domain.
